The Dynema X-Ply in the foot of the sail is the strongest ever made. The new KS Optic X-Ply uses twisted Aramid (Kevlar) and Spectra fibers in a Monofilm sandwich allowing strength with wider spacing for clear vision.

Create as much power and drive as possible through every turn, yet depower at will and release excess power uniformly at each batten as the sail is flexing and twisting.

The aim is to provide power at the lower end of the wind range, but then, when pumping, going sick, or overpowered, the sail can breath and release pressure evenly over the whole sail for maximum control.
