Praise for the 2009 Gator from Planche Magazine:
Great efficiency for Bump & Jump
This sail has a very deep profile just behind the mast which provides amazing power in the lighter winds. It is also the lightest in the group,
very stable, even when the wind picks up and in choppy water. It is a little less maneuverable in the surf but due to its lightness you can
flatten it by applying more tension at the outhaul.
Julien : We were very surprised by the power in light winds. This sail has frontal power where you don’t need power in your back hand, which
makes it maneuverable. In surf the profile is locked further forward, therefore it is not a neutral as other sails.
