Blade Windsurfing Sail 2010
Power Wave
The 2010 Blade has evolved.
• The weight of the sail has been radically reduced, whilst durability has increased due to extensive use of eM3. This new material fuses e-series technology with MetaleX.
• Less seams in the main body panel has not only increased the vision through the sail, it has also increased durability.
• A custom finish technique to further reduce weight has been used for the cosmetic graphic by only using the insignia cloth on one side
of the sail.
Product Ideology
• Control oriented wave-sail.
• Power centred low in the sail for driving the board through turns.
• 100% X-ply construction.
Rig Ergonomics
• Drives power down through the board
• Lower clew position results in a low, powerful stance.
New for 2010:
• The Metalex II has been replaced with a lighter and more durable e-series cloth: eM3
• Less seams. This reduces potential weak points.
• Lowered seam angle in the main panel for improved vision.
• Reduced swing weight. Use of the new eM3 material has massively lightened the top half of the sail resulting in a much lighter feel.
• Fixed head finishing on 5.3, 5.0 and 4.7 improves ease of rigging. Compared other sails in the range
• S-1: More powerful
• S-1: Lower clew height
• S-1: Centre of effort lower and further forward
• S-1: Softer feel

Construction:
• 100% technical X-ply construction
• eM3 in the upper section of the sail to lower the swing weight, increase the response and the durability
• KS Optic X-ply window panel for no compromise visibility and durability
• Aramid Torsion Frame – a Kevlar perimeter for maximum strength.
• ARC - Aramid Radial Clew distributes the load evenly into the sail body through bias aligned Kevlar
• Seamless foot construction with Pro-tect hidden seam patches.
e series MetaleX III :
eM3 has been developed to combine the performance of the e series cloths with the durability of MetaleX II. The addition of a 90 degree
polyester weave has provided unique anti-stretch characteristics with rig loads carried through the multiple fibres.
The pearlescent film and pre-preg scrim maintain the UV resistance and tear strength whilst reducing the weight by 25%.
