Starboard SUPer 12'6" Windsurfing and SUP Board 2010
Why Amara Watersports use the Starboard SUPer 12'6" Windsurfing and Stand Up Paddle Boards in our School
- The Board is Tough and still light for its size.
- The long length of the Board makes it very fast even in the lightest winds and fast for Paddling also.
- It has a real "longboard" surfboard shape that makes it ideal for areas with small waves and swell, the tail and nose rocker together with the soft rails allow the board to turn easily also.
- With or Without wind, this board is creating a great fun atmosphere on our beach and bringing customers back for more.
- The board has a short rear fin and Starboard's proven Center-board system - this allows it to be used in very shallow waters and low tides, while the Centre-board allows the riders to easily get back to where they began.
We have 2 of these Boards for Rent at Blue Lagoon Pattaya Thailand.
The SUPer 12'6" is a SUP/windsurf board that uses Starboard's proven daggerboard system. It is the key that unlocks the doors to a wonderful World of wind and water. Fun in light wind and great for shallow water locations.
When stand up paddling, its long, slender shape glides smoothly and catches waves easily with surprising maneuverability. The integrated daggerboard and mast track for windsurfing transforms the kit into a lightwind windsurfer, a maneuverable board for lightwind waveriding and for old-school flat-water freestyling.
With its 77cm wide width, it's also a stable platform for progressing windsurfers and for family fun.
A true crossover between two sports, inviting all generations.
Where did longboarding go? The light blue area in this graph reflects the windsurfing that has disappeared: longboards. Decades of shortboard focus has made windsurfing an exclusively elitist sport. With SUP, the SUPer 12'6" and other longboards like the Serenity and the Phantoms, Starboard believes that longboards can defing the next chapter in windsurfing's history just as they have once written its beginning.
